Transforming exhibition stands from bland to exciting

Trade shows and exhibitions have changed drastically over the years. Modern technologies like LCD and plasma TV sets have raised the bar for companies when displaying their products.

Earlier, exhibitors used bulky exhibition stands that occupied a lot of space. These stands consisted of sharp edges that often affected the surrounding infrastructure. However, exhibitors can now select lightweight materials to construct exhibition stands. The overall size and appearance of exhibition stands has also changed and improved over the years.

Mentioned below are some common changes that have made exhibition stands more convenient to use.

Lighting and design

The traditional lighting used in exhibition stands has been replaced by cost effective and environmentally friendly lights. Lighting plays a major role in highlighting products and it is for this reason that modern exhibitors are incorporating LED lights to accentuate their products. Halogens and spotlights are some of the other lighting equipment used in exhibitions.

Types of design

Modular exhibition stands coupled with attractive colours and shapes are some of the newer exhibition stand designs. Exhibitors also install an LCD TV or similar audio visual set up in order to attract prospects.

Materials used
Fabric is the most commonly used material in exhibition stands. This type of material is light in weight and can be trimmed into extremely attractive styles. Fabric can also be used to maintain an open and airy space within the company’s exhibition area. Wood and metal are some of the other materials used in the production of exhibition stands. Metal is durable and sturdy and is used in exhibition stands that need to be regularly transported from one place to another.

One thing is certain; exhibition stands have indeed come a long way, since inception.
